It was a Walk in the Park

On Saturday the Fuzzmop family ventured in to NYC to bum around a bit. My daughter wanted to go to the Statue of Liberty. It seems that a bajillion other people all had the same plan. The line for the ferry was about a 4 hour wait. Crazy. So, we decided to skip that line and walk over to the South Street Seaport, where we ultimately hopped aboard the Shark boat to see the Statue.

One of the more interesting things that I'd noticed was that 3/4 of the people milling around Battery Park and the Seaport during this Memorial Day Weekend were non-English speakers whom I assume were visiting from other countries. I guess all the Americans were off visiting Europe.

The shark was fun :) Especially to a 7 year old. Getting soaked in your clothes ranks very high up on the funometer to a kid. Hearing my daughter squeal with delight as we got a face full of that oh-so-brown-and-tasty Hudson River water was worth the price of admission, hands down. CircleLine - Shark

If you look closely below.. i believe that is a crudmop!

I gotta say... I love this country.
