| Beggars Can't be Choosers Banquet S u n d a y , D e c e m b e r 2 3 , 2 0 0 7 My latest fortune cookie fortune says: 'Treasure your good memories and you need not worry about ending a banquet.' I feel like I should find great reverence in this statement. It sounds very philosophical, maybe Buddhist, and definately very deep. But between you and me, I have no idea what it means. I did a quick web search for more information on the quotation and indeed I had found that many other people have posted about receiving this quote in their fortune cookies. But, I haven't found the origin of the phrase. None of the folks posting their wonderfully meaningful quote go on about what the hell it means. I bet they secretly have no idea either. Is it a 2 part fortune? Something like.. 'Treasure your good memories. Oh, yeah, and um... you don't need to worry about ending a banquet' or is this all one continuous thought? Ending a banquet? What the hell does that mean? Does that mean I won't stop a banquet from happening? That I won't end up being the main course at a banquet? If I don't treasure my good memories I will end a banquet? Do I really need this level of aggrivation from my sweet and sour chicken? I mean, really. Next time we're getting Dominos.
